Jaspar Lepak

Jaspar Lepak is a singer songwriter. I created digital artwork files for two different single releases — One Brave Life, and My Right To Choose.

Her single “One Brave Life” was commissioned by New York Times bestselling author JoAnn Ross as the theme song for her new book, The Inheritance. Jaspar wanted the artwork for the single to have  a retro, yet modern feel that would match the tone of the book and the song.

Her song “My Right To Choose” was written as a response to the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the new Texas law that essentially bans abortion in the state. Jaspar wanted the single artwork to be simple and straightforward to match the tone of the song.

The text resembles something you might see on a politician’s campaign yard signs because abortion rights are always such a political topic. I overlapped the text to show visually the real-life close relationship between “having rights” and “the ability to choose“.
